Community Health Outreach Workers (CHOW) are the front line in health care. Community health outreach worker are family advocates, case managers, outreach coordinators, community coordinators or social workers. CHOWs understand the language and culture of the communities they serve.

 

Ladder of Success

Master's Degree
(Social Work, Public Health, or Nursing)

Bachelor of Arts or Science
(Sociology, Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Humanities)

Associates Degree in Arts or Science
(e.g. Human Service, Nursing, Liberal Arts, Science, or Education)
