NATIONAL CONSORTIUM ON HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
(NCHSTE)
The National Consortium on Health Science and Technology Education is a partnership of individuals and organizations with a vested interest in healthcare. The Consortium was founded in 1991 to stimulate creative innovative leadership to ensure a well- prepared health care workforce. The mission of NCHSTE is to respond to national policy on the preparation and employment of health care personnel. The purpose of NCHSTE is to contribute to effective and efficient delivery of health care and the preparation of qualified workforce through fostering collaboration among educational entities, health care employers, and professional organizations.
A major interest of the NCHSTE is the investigation, pursuit, and acquisition of grants and awards. The NCHSTE, in partnership with FarWest Research Laboratory, was awarded the grant for the development of the National Health Care Skill Standards. The NCHSTE also received grant funding to develop the Health Science Career Cluster.

HOSA is a Career and Technical Student Organization endorsed by the United States Department of Education and the Health Occupations Education Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education. HOSA's mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.
