| What
will my job be like? Phlebotomists draw blood
samples from people by venipuncture, skin puncture, and
keep careful records of all proceduresfor medical tests
and blood donations. Safety precautions are of utmost
concern to the phlebotomist to prevent the transmission
of infectious diseases. Phlebotomists are instructed to
adhere to strict policies and procedures accurately and
efficiently while treating the patient with care. |

independent clinical laboratories, or blood banks.
